About Us

THE PAST

Antiques has always been a passion of mine for over 35 years and here you will see me taking a selfie at The Antiques Roadshow in Leicester a few years ago with Fiona Bruce.
I am lucky to be in a business that I am passionate about it really drives my enthusiasm and keeps me happy and no two days are ever the same so never gets boring.
I also was on the Antiques Roadshow Swanage Pier episode 1 where I presented an incredibly rare collection of 650 postcards from 1876 with an incredible appraisal!

THE PRESENT

The hunt for Antiques is never easy as quality items are hard to find and everyone at the Auction fights for them but it keeps me stimulated as it’s the love of the chase I like.
In recent years I saw an opportunity to start making Arts and Crafts style furniture from reclaimed wood utilising  the skills from 3 generations of my family being carpenters.
Here my son loads 18 tables for E-Racing F1 being shipped to the Grand Prix in Sardinia.
This has now grown and we have 2 sites making oak and pine furniture.

THE FUTURE

My father past in 2000 and will never be forgotten as the most strong, true and honest man I have ever known. He was a carpenter who started his own business E.T. Taylor & Son. Like my grandad, my dad these skills have been passed on to my eldest son and we continue to make our furniture range and also refurbish the odd Antique along the way.
I have 3 sons and who knows one of them might in time take on the baton in the future!
